I'll blame this all on my sister-in-law, the estate sale addict. She called yesterday and told me that she had found a Model 15B Chambers stove w/ pots at an estate sale. I reasonably told her I did not need the stove, but I might be interested in the pots. Of course they wanted to keep the pots with the stove - a triple set, a single, and 1/2 of the doubles set. Also included were the cooking chart & an idle hour cookbook. They did price separately the shallow pan that goes in the top of the single - a mere $3.
Later I got to thinking about it, and thought that I might convince another sister-in-law to go in halves with me on the stove, so we could both harvest some parts. I especially had my eye on the griddle - a really cool flat modele unlike others I have seen.
Originally, they were asking $700 or $800 depending on which side of the stove you were looking at. Today everything was 1/2 off, and at closing time, we convinced them to take $300. Quite a deal, huh?
Even better - my brother loaded it and hauled it to his house. Tomorrow I pick up my new griddle.

Yes, we got the fry basket too. And we all know how expensive those guys are. Salt & Pepper were not included.
The stove was in Park Cities - Dallas. According to the seller, it was his mothers stove, and had been in the house throughout his life. He was probably 50, and his mom is now deceased. The house is a little too modest for the neighborhood, and is destined for the wrecking ball. A sad thing that is so common in Dallas.
